Green Beans & Tomatoes

This recipe was contributed by Clarke, who oversees Quality Assurance in the packing house. Ok, actually it's from his mom, but she doesn't work here, so we're saying it's from him. When we started asking about green bean recipes, he piped up with one he loves that his mom makes. From his family to yours, here it is:



1 1/2 lb Southern Valley Green Beans, trimmed and cut in half

1/4 cup melted butter

1 Tbsp. sugar

3/4 tsp. garlic salt

1 1/2 tsp. basil

1/8 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved



Simmer green beans for 15 minutes, then drain. After drained, place on a serving dish. 

Mix butter, sugar, garlic salt, basil, salt, pepper together and pour over beans.

Add cherry tomatoes to dish 10 minutes before serving.
