As we hold our Thanksgiving celebration next week, our Southern Valley family will gather around the table in order to fellowship and give thanks for our many blessings. There will be lots of food, plenty of laughter, and cheerful discussions of our accomplishments as well as our renewed approach to the way ahead. This past year has truly been one of growth and development for our Southern Valley family.
We started the year off with the completion of the upstairs office that enabled us to stretch our legs and grow in a variety of ways. The room enabled us to add the PACK Logistics staff to our Southern Valley Team in order to promote full service over the road operations for our customers. These four guys and one lady have seamlessly joined the Southern Valley family and we’re excited to call them teammates.
In addition to the logistics team, we’ve added 9 new members to our overall Southern Valley family. These additions will posture Southern Valley for success for years to come as we forge a new path to providing premier produce to all segments of the economy. We want to take this moment and say welcome to our newest teammates as well as their families. We realize we hire the employee, however, we retain families.
With respect to additions, we’ve had some growth in our “family” in the form of births this year. Two of our employees welcomed sweet boys into the world, we want to bless you and wish you years of happiness as they grow and mature into young men. In a more literal sense of the word “family,” we will be welcoming the first great-grandchild and first grandchild of owners, Wanda Hamilton-Tyler and Kent Hamilton. Needless to say, we’re excited about this new addition!
It has truly been a year of abundance for our Southern Valley “family” and as always we’re grateful for another year of service to our customers.
