Southern Valley is partnering with Make-A-Wish!

Last October, Southern Valley proudly sponsored a Make-A-Wish® child and hosted the wish-granting right here at Southern Valley. It was a deeply meaningful moment for our team.
The wish was for Grayson, the son of a former longtime employee who has bravely undergone multiple heart surgeries. With the help of our retail partners, our team provided generous fundraising support to help make his dream come true. These pictures capture the special moment as our Southern Valley team prepares to reveal a life-changing wish, filled with hope, joy, and community spirit.

Make-A-Wish is very close to the hearts of everyone at Southern Valley. Courtney Hamilton Griffin, Director of Operational Support and daughter of CEO and founder Kent Hamilton, was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 10. At 13 years old, Make-A-Wish fulfilled Courtney’s wish to meet her favorite country singer. “It was one of the most fun and memorable experiences of my life,” recalls Courtney. “Being diagnosed with cancer is something no child should have to go through, but Make-A-Wish brought so much joy and life and positivity to me and my family during a very difficult time.” Courtney has now been in remission for 20 years and is a trained volunteer with Make-A-Wish.
Southern Valley and our retail partners hope to bring joy and positivity to many children and their families through this partnership with Make-A-Wish.
